Per-Diem EMS Providers / Firefighters

Bucksport Fire Department
Per Diem Job Opening

The Bucksport Fire Department is accepting current and future applications for Per-Diem EMS / Firefighters to augment our fulltime staff. Must be currently State of Maine licensed to at least Basic EMT, (Paramedic preferred).  We offer very flexible shifts consisting of 12-hour day shifts (0700-1900), 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700), or 24-hour shifts (0700-0700). Pay rates range from $17.55 to $17.84 per hour. Advanced EMT’s receive an additional $5.00 per run stipend, while Paramedics receive an additional $10.83 per run stipend when ALS skills are utilized. Firefighter/EMT’s must be State of Maine certified FF1, (FF2 preferred) as well.

The Bucksport Fire Department protects 3 communities for EMS coverage, with a population of nearly 8,000 residents, while the Fire protection coverage consists of 2 communities with a population of around 5,700 residents. The department responds to over 1,200 calls annually.
